TOPSoccer

US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized by youth soccer association volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. Our goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.

TOPSoccer Schedule

February 12, 2021

Hello all!

I'm writing to you today to inform you all that I had to make the very tough decision to cancel the 2021 Spring session of Clawson TOPSoccer. While the numbers in Michigan have continued to fall over the past few weeks, I still have great concern for the health and safety of all involved with the program.

I've turned my attention to the Fall 2021 season. Numerous changes to the program will have to be made to ensure we're following any guidelines necessary. These changes will alter the way we operate, but will not alter the passion we have for this program.

Please know this was not a decision made lightly, but one out of an abundance of caution. We greatly miss all of you and look forward to seeing you all soon.

Best regards,

Shaun Ervin

Clawson TOPSoccer Director

What is TOPSoccer?

The Outreach Program for Soccer or TOPSoccer is a community-based program that allows people with special needs to learn and enjoy the game of soccer.

How Does It Work?

Players will meet once a week throughout the season for practice showcasing their skills at "The Big Game".

Clawson Soccer coaches and volunteers will work with the players and help them develop their skills during weekly 45 minute training sessions that they can then show off during a 30 minute scrimmage at what has become known as "The Big Game".

What Does It Cost?

Just $25 which helps cover the uniform and insurance costs.

How Do I Sign Up?

Registration will be online and runs at the same time as open registration for recreational soccer.  There are two seasons each year, spring and fall, that run roughly the same time as the recreational season.

How Can I Help?

Being a volunteer driven program, we can not do this without some help and we need lots of it.  No experience is necessary, just a desire to help out.  Please contact Shaun Ervin (topsoccer@clawson-soccer.org).
